Cabin is a privacy-first alternative to Google Analytics. It counts visits without cookies, fingerprinting or any storage on the visitor's device, so sites that use it don't need a consent banner for analytics. The tracking script is about 2 KB, a fraction of the size of Google's, and analytics data is stored in the EU.
Two things set it apart. Cabin estimates the carbon footprint of every page, based on the traffic it actually gets, using the Green Web Foundation's CO2.js and the Sustainable Web Design model. And it has an MCP server, so you can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor about your stats in plain English, or have a coding agent install and check the script for you.
Cabin has been running since 2020 and is made independently in the UK by Nic Mulvaney. There's a free plan for one site, and paid plans start at $14 a month.
The name is just Cabin, not "Cabin Analytics". The website is withcabin.com.

Founder
Cabin is made by Nic Mulvaney, a designer and developer based in the UK. He has spent more than 20 years building digital products for companies such as Apple, IKEA, Logitech, Spotify, Nokia and On. He started Cabin in 2020 and runs it independently, with no outside funding.
